The Secert Box

  Times change.
Cities may grow large.
Summers may come and go.
And people
might grow old,
but the one thing that always
remains the same is the desire for
adventure. Barbara Lehman takes readers on a timeless trip to a world of secret messages left in secret boxes hidden in secret places.

You’ll never know what you’ll find when you look inside!
This is beautifully illustrated wordless children's book.  It tells the story of a hidden secret box a boy buries 100 years ago, the town changes, and changes, and some children uncover it.  they follow the map to a wonderful new adventure.  This being said, I felt the additional children finding it years later was an unnecessary  addition to the storyline.

I am willing to be convinced it deserves to make the cut, but for now, it receives a 2 on my list.

This is a  book I’ve received for consideration.   The above is my opinion and the book has not been nominated to the official Charlotte2014 ballot.
