My grandma Bylbie is 87 years young. Jessie 22 years old. 65 years separate their births. The relationship they have is awesome. I love eavesdropping on their conversations. Operating elevators, what makes a best friend, and how to grow rhurbard. seemingly meaningless conversations. But they are sharing their wisdom.
They talk about sorrow of relying on others for everything and losing your independence. They talk about the terror of moving out on your own, gaining an independence, something women of grandmas cohort only knew when they became widowed. Wisdom shared from one generation to another about something each can only imagine.
Both ladies will share their strong willed opinions with anyone else, but when they are together, a soft exchange of wisdom is all you can hear.
I admire the women in my life.
